This LXV Smart uses medium-wave infrared technology, which works perfectly on sheltered or wind-free patios and covered outdoor areas. Medium-wave infrared provides pleasant warmth without bright light, but it does require shelter from the wind to be effective. For fully open patios where wind and rain aren't a problem, you'll need short-wave infrared (such as Heliosa). Long-wave infrared is only suitable for verandas and enclosed spaces, not for patios.

What is the difference between a wall-mounted and floor-standing model?
The floor-standing model sits on a stable stand and can be easily moved to where you need heat. Perfect if you want flexibility or don't want to drill into the wall. The wall-mounted model is fixed to the wall or ceiling and stays in place. Both models offer the same heating power and features.
