What is the difference between shortwave, mediumwave and longwave infrared?
The MO-EL Hot-top uses long-wave infrared technology, which works perfectly in enclosed verandas and indoor spaces. Long-wave infrared works best in enclosed, wind-free environments. These heaters don't emit light, making them ideal for indoor spaces where you don't want a distracting glow. For sheltered outdoor spaces, you'll need medium-wave infrared, and for fully open patios where wind and rain aren't a problem, you'll need short-wave infrared.
